When I Have Time

As some of you may know, my BS group back home is going through the Bible in one year.  And I vowed to continue (and my father didn’t stop me from making this vow, so it still stands), so I’m doing my best to keep up (I actually only caught up 3 weeks ago, and now am on schedule).

As I read, my head illustrates what I’m reading.  It’s kind of how I process things.  So my idea is to find an old Bible and as I’m reading it draw pictures on the page, Son of Rambow style, like over the whole page, even covering up the text.

There are a few barriers to implementation: usually the paper in Bibles are really thin, so bleeding through from the opposite page would be a risk, this would take a really long time, so it would have to be a lifetime kind of project, and while I don’t think it would (because it’s just like writing notes in the margins), some may.

And I think it would be a good collaborative project.  I could do a few pages, and then mail it (cheaply with the book rate) to someone else who could do a bit and then pass it on again.  As I prolly won’t carry out this idea for a while I thought I’d open it up to anyone out there who wanted to try it out…..
