Where My Hope Lies

I think my mini-crisis is over. 

For serious, this past weekend I was ready to pack up and head back home (had my boss allowed it).  But there is always hope.  Plus my landlord just refunded all the rent I paid, which is more than enough to buy a new camera.  And it’s been 3 days without my apartment getting burgled.  Hooray!
Also I happen to be in the market for a new camera, unless you want to see more fuzzy, extremely noisy, out of focus pictures here.  I’m looking for a good “weather/shock proof” camera, but since I still don’t have internet, does any one have any recommendations?  Something that will withstand me dropping it multiple times and temperatures down to -60 degrees Fahrenheit.
